A few things you may be wondering.
How is EnChat different from a regular AI chat?
A regular chat ends when the messages stop. EnChat ends when an expression becomes yours. Corrections enter a mastery loop and return in future topics until you can use them naturally.
Are these people real?
No. They are fictional characters: the portraits are AI-generated, the conversation is AI, and the voices are third-party synthesis. If you seriously ask one whether they are human, they will tell you plainly that they are an AI practice partner.
Can I turn a partner into someone I actually want to talk to?
Yes, on a paid plan. You can rewrite any partner's name, job, work history, accent, and voice — make one an airline captain if aviation is your thing, and every conversation after that grows out of that background.
Do I have to speak into my phone every time?
No. You can practice with text first. When you want to speak, shadowing uses on-device speech recognition and word-level comparison to help you get the phrase out.
Will my recordings be uploaded?
Not by default. EnChat transcribes on-device first, and does not upload or store raw recordings. If you allow cloud features and cloud transcription fallback is needed, audio is processed temporarily and deleted after processing.
Can I use local-only mode?
Yes. Switch to Local mode any time in the app. Your practice content will no longer be sent to cloud AI.
